Plumery integrates SEON fraud prevention into digital banking platform

Plumery has partnered with SEON to integrate device intelligence and fraud prevention capabilities into its digital banking development platform.

The integration gives Plumery’s business customers access to SEON’s device intelligence analysis within its mobile and web foundation, helping digital banks identify suspicious activity earlier in the onboarding process.

The partnership is designed to detect high-risk devices, digital-footprint signals and behavioural patterns before fraudulent accounts are created. Plumery said the integration is available immediately to customers using its mobile and web platforms.

The announcement comes as banks face growing pressure to strengthen fraud controls across digital channels. Digital onboarding can improve speed and customer experience, but it also creates opportunities for fraudsters using stolen credentials, automation and synthetic identities.

SEON says its platform uses more than 900 real-time first-party data signals to support fraud and AML decisioning.

Ben Goldin, CEO and Co-Founder of Plumery, said digital banks should not have to choose between customer experience and strong protection.

Dan Webb, Vice President, Partnerships at SEON, said most digital banking fraud starts at account creation and that device intelligence can help stop suspicious activity earlier.

The partnership is relevant to banking technology because fraud prevention is becoming part of core digital banking infrastructure rather than an add-on control. Banks launching new digital channels need onboarding, identity, fraud and AML controls to be integrated from the start.
