Online advisory network targets SMEs

An initiative has been launched by some of Australia's top capital and corporate advisory services to utilise the Internet to target the advisory and capital needs of the country's small- and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector.

The BSX Advisor Network is managed by BSX Services which is a part of the Bendigo Stock Exchange. Professional advisors to SMEs can connect with advisors to other businesses or to providers of capital.

Advisors can register to access the Network to enter the transaction forum. Once in, they can, for example, access information about companies seeking to fund expansion, list capital or entities which wish to pursue a trade sale.

The Network will focus on middle-sized enterprises with turnover of $5m or more of which there are approximately 50,000 nation-wide.
