New China trade mission announced

Tanaiste Mary Harney has announced a new trade mission to China in October, involving 77 Irish companies and educational institutions with 127 representatives. Enterprise Ireland now has offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong, and trade and technology centres have been opened in Beijing and Hong Kong to provide space for Irish start-ups. "Enterprise Ireland is concentrating resources on industry sectors where there is the greatest potential for the export of Irish goods and services," said Peter Coyle, executive director of Enterprise Ireland. He added that most of these sectors, including IT and telecommunications, are addressed in individual chapters of the new booklet.
