National Bank of Slovakia report on Q1 lending rates


The average interest rate on bank loans drawn in Slovakia decreased by 0.04 percentage points to 7.51 per cent from March to April. Average interest rates on business loans fell moderately by 0.17 percentage points to 7.07 per cent, according to the National Bank of Slovakia (NBS).

The average interest rate on short-term loans went down 0.07 percentage points in April to 7.45 per cent; the interest rate on medium-term loans increased by 0.19 points to 8.25 per cent and the interest rate on long-term loans went up 0.2 percentage points to 7.34 per cent.

The average interest rate on the aggregate volume of loans decreased to 7.48 per cent in April. Public sector loans were priced at 7.53 per cent on average, the price of business loans was also 7.49 per cent and personal loans were available at 7.8 per cent.
