National Bank of Canada Enters the Canadian Export Factoring Market

The National Bank of Canada (which is a private bank, rather than the Canada’s central bank) has established a factoring division and is offering factoring from their Montreal head office. The division specialises in export factoring, although it also offers a domestic factoring product to clients.

The new industry players are thought to be targeting medium and large-sized businesses although sources say that they will not limit themselves exclusively to clients of this size.
