More SMEs are trading with late payment culture, says survey

Half of Hungary's small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) say late payments between companies are becoming more common, while just 10% say businesses are getting better at paying on time, a survey conducted by Volksbank Hungary Rt. shows.  The representative survey polled managers at 312 companies employing between 50 and 250 people. About 47.5 per cent of the respondents said they had made late payments during the period in question. 11 per cent said they paid taxes late sometimes and 9.7 per cent said they were late with the payment of social security contribution.  Source: Econews
