According to industry data presented Thursday (30 October), in October a poor production outlook for Finnish firms drove industry confidence down, while consumer confidence improved for the second month in a row.
Statistic Finland says consumer confidence was up, as consumersā views of the future of their own economies brightened further. But the Confederation of Finnish Industry Employers reported a fall in confidence among its members, commenting that while order books improved, they clearly remain below normal levels.
