Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance has recently backed the Ј2 million management
buy-out [MBO] of 97-year-old Geddes Packaging, one of the largest independent packaging manufacturers in the UK.
Ron Leach, Managing Director of 30-years, and co-Director Tony Arnold turned to Peter Whitehouse at the Birmingham office of Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance to help fund the deal via an invoice discounting facility.
Geddes Packaging manufactures over a million boxes and fittings a week, supplying businesses of all sizes and industry sectors, including small farmers, large car-part manufacturers and the largest industrial companies in the UK. Its range includes heavy-duty corrugated board cases, plastic and polythene protective packaging and a range of timber cases and pallets.
