Late payment legislation favoured by SMEs over other credit control approaches, survey shows


Despite DTI figures which show that UK insolvencies due to late or non-payment are increasing, the majority of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) still do not outsource their collections and/or credit control function, a recent survey by Coface UK has confirmed. However, the survey also showed that more companies are aware of the dangers of poor credit control practices, and are increasingly making use of legislation designed to help combat late payment.
