L-Bank doubles funds for investing in SMEs


L-Bank, a bank owned by the German state of Baden-Wurttemberg, has doubled its funds for investing in small- and medium-sized companies (SMEs) to 250m euros. This fund is aimed at established SMEs in all sectors that wish to finance growth and innovation or strengthen their equity capital. L-Bank says it has substantial evidence that there is a demand on the market for investment in these companies. At present, the bank has a total of 31m euros' worth of investments in six companies. L-Bank says it is working on contracts relating to a further 86m euros' worth of investments. Source: Financial Times Deutschland
