Korea Eximbank loan to Alfa Bank increased to US$80m

Alfa Bank has signed an agreement with The Export-Import Bank of Korea on increasing a loan Alfa Bank received in 2004 to US$80m from the original US$50 m, the Russian bank announced. The two banks on December 31, 2003 signed a framework loan agreement for US$50m that envisioned Alfa Bank receiving a ten-year credit line to finance Russian purchasers of South Korean goods, equipment and services. "Fully using the original US$50m line allowed us to hold successful talks with The Export-Import Bank of Korea," Maxim Topper, head of Alfa Bank's department for working with financial institutions and correspondent relations, is quoted as saying in the release. Source: Interfax
