Karoly Martinko of Magyar Factor presents the latyest analysis of the Hungarian market

Market Performance and Supply  Although the Hungarian factoring market can trace its origins back some ten years, pre-1998 industry data is unreliable. Prior to 1998 the generally accepted view is that Hungary’s infant factoring industry over-expanded in the early 1990’s, came unstuck during and after the country’s 1995 ‘debt crisis’ and was reborn again in 1997. In its re-incarnated form, factoring in Hungary is some three years old and still in its infancy. Table 2 traces the development of the industry since 1998.
