Jong-Sam Kim of the Industrial Bank of Korea presents the latest analysis of the Korean market


Introduction  The future of international factoring in Korea is uncertain. The import factoring market is saturated and there are a number of different problems facing export factoring. The Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) is the only factor currently trading in Korea and in 2000 the volume (which consisted entirely of international factoring of which 92% was import) was recorded at US$104,357,446.
