Joint Ingosstrakh and Malaysian Export Credit Insurance Corporation projects will benefit business

At the Russian-Malaysian business forum in Kuala Lumpur yesterday (5 August), President Vladimir Putin said that the two countries are taking the necessary steps to promote trade turnover.

Putin singled out bilateral ties in banking. "Russia's Vneshtorgbank has signed an agreement on opening a credit line with Malaysia's Eximbank. The joint projects of Ingosstrakh [Russian international insurance company] and the Malaysian Export Credit Insurance Corporation will undoubtedly benefit business contacts," he said.

In Putin's opinion, favourable grounds for long-term approaches have been prepared. "In the past 10 years, our business and economic relations have not only developed quickly. The main thing is that they have changed in terms of quality and structure," he said.

Everything required is already in place for implementing the planned agreements, namely a solid legal foundation that supports a favourable investment climate, Putin said.
