Japanese government to promote smaller firm partnerships to help fund-raising

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will create a legal framework that will make fund-raising easier for small and midsize businesses joining forces in production, marketing and other operations.

These companies will be able to take out loans from public lenders for little collateral as long as their collaborative projects generate cash flow and are considered promising. The framework for this arrangement will be a key part of legislation designed to stimulate smaller businesses' activities that the ministry plans to submit to the upcoming ordinary Diet session.
