Jшrgen Lund-Lavesen of NCM Forenede Factors presents a view of Factoring from the Perspective of a Credit Insurer

At BCR Publishing’s recent Receivables Finance international Conference Jørgen Lund-Lavesen of NCM Forenede Factors, Denmark, addressed the issue of the mobilisation of the forces of credit insurance within the factoring industry and to what extent credit insurers should be regarded as either partners or foes.  The topic is a serious one for the industry as the acquisition of one of Denmark’s leading factors (Forenede) by a credit insurance company (NCM) could signpost the way for a new industry trend which could alter the structure of factoring markets around the world. Such a theory is supported by the fact that subsequent to the acquisition of Forenede, NCM have further extended their influence within the factoring markets of the Nordic region by making at least two other acquisitions.
