Italian minister says Italy to increase investments in Bosnian SMEs

Italy intends to keep the role of the first foreign trade partner of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and increase investments in Bosnian companies, Italian Deputy Foreign Trade Minister Adolfo Urso said yesterday.

At a press conference organised after the third session of the Standing Bilateral Board for Business Cooperation in Sarajevo, Urso said he was positively surprised by a number of businessmen from both countries who attended today's session. "Their search for cooperation points on extraordinary economic, trade, cultural and other links between BiH and Italy," he added.

BiH Foreign Trade Minister Mila Gadzic said that today's meeting of the Board presented a credit line by the Italian government, totalling 18.5m euros, for assistance to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in BiH.
