The Italian factoring market is the second largest in Europe, it covers about 25 per cent of the European turnover and is quite different from other factoring markets due to the higher proportion of non-recourse products. The Italian factoring market is currently undergoing a revolution brought about by greater attention to the bottom line; the rapidly approaching new Basel Accord the consolidation of the industry; the entrance of new players and the rise of credit insurers.
