Insuring your exports against political risk


A lot of things can go wrong with export transactions in global markets.

At the San Diego District Export Council (DEC) 2003 Conference, an expert on political-risk insurance provided a wealth of insights regarding this crucial area. Jackie Deane, vice president and West Coast political-risk manager for AIG Global Trade and Political Risk Insurance Company (aigglobal.aig.com, has over 25 years of experience underwriting political risk. Her presentation was titled "Mitigating Political Risk in a Dangerous World."
