Today, HSBC Bank launches a new network of 22 Corporate Banking Centres throughout the UK aimed at the mid-corporate sector. Catering for the 10,000-plus UK businesses with sales turnover of more than Ј25 million, they represent a logical step forward in HSBC’s commitment to locating senior bankers in major regions.
These centres of corporate expertise are being opened in key business locations following research that shows that local relationship management is just as important to business customers as the ability to lend quickly, appropriately and efficiently. As a result, each centre will be run by a Head of Corporate Banking who will not only have extensive banking experience but also detailed knowledge of the local business environment and the authority to make major lending decisions.
