HNB base rate cut


Hungarian National Bank’s (HNB) Monetary Council (MC) cut down the base rate by 25 basic points to 7.50%, HNB announced.

The change comes into operation tomorrow. MC cut the base rate by 50 bp from 8.25 to 7.75 bp on 29 March, which was preceded by another 75 bp base rate cut in February.
