HDI launches Asian political risk and credit business with key appointment


The Singapore branch of the industrial insurer HDI Global SE, part of the Talanx Group, has hired Markel’s James Guardino to launch a political risk and credit operation in Asia.

Based in Singapore, Guardino will be a senior underwriter for APAC.

He will report to Graham Silton and Nick Robinson, HDI’s head of political and credit risk in London.
