Group buys 60% stake in factor

On 19 July the Central Retail Corp and Central Department Store respectively sold their 50 per cent and ten per cent shareholdings in Thanamit Factoring, according to a report in Krungthep Turakij.

The companies sold the shares to six individuals who are also managers and major shareholders of Central group: Prin Jiratiwat, Suthikiat Jiratiwat, Suthitham Jiratiwat, Suthisak Jiratiwat, Suthichai Jiratiwat and Wanchai Jiratiwat. Each bought ten per cent.

Thanamit Factoring has applied for stock exchange listing. The company originally planned to offer four million shares in its initial public offering (IPO) this month, but the offer has been postponed because the company was required to submit more information to the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC).

After the IPO, the Jiratiwat group's stake in Thanamit Factoring will be reduced to 48 per cent.
