Legal claims in the wake of Greensill Capital’s collapse in 2021 continue to grow.
According to Insurance News.com the insurer IAG has now estimated that it faces claims arising from Greensill’s insolvency amounting to USD 7bn plus interest. This announcement is important because it is the first time that the insurer has been able to give an aggregate value of the claims against the company after Greensill’s demise. The announcement appears in the 2023 annual report.
