Government contributions to promote regional export totals $8 million

"Canadian exporters are known around the world for their innovativeness and the excellence of their products and services," said the Honourable Claude Drouin, Secretary of State responsible for Canada Economic Development when passing through the Laurentians yesterday (9 September).

"Their achievements help Canada maintain its role as a leader in the field of international trade. On the one hand, trade gives Canada new ideas, new technology and new ways of doing things. On the other, it allows us to export our Canadian know-how, knowledge and values around the globe."
