Sixteen Welsh companies and organisations are in Japan on a weeklong trade mission. visiting Tokyo and Osaka. Major names taking part include, credit insurance giant Gerling NCM and S4C International, the broadcaster's commercial arm.
The trip is the latest to be organised by WalesTrade International, the National Assembly Government's overseas trade arm.
Robert Lock, deputy director of international trade development at WalesTrade International, said, "This mission contains a number of very high profile companies that are very aware of the continued importance of the Japanese market for Welsh exporters."I've spoken to them in advance of the mission and they are all very confident of being able to secure new orders or make valuable new contacts and trading alliances in Japan.
