France stays on top of European insolvency league

According to a study conducted by the German credit insurance company Gerling NCM, the number of company bankruptcies in France is set to rise by seven per cent this year, to 45,800.

The increase, which is expected to affect all sectors, will confirm France's position as European leader in the insolvency field, ahead of Germany and Italy, with 40,500 and 16,000 company defaults respectively.
