Fortis Commercial Finance reports pre-tax loss


Fortis Commercial Finance Limited, one of the leading debt factoring and invoice discounting companies in the UK and part of the international Fortis Group has reported a pre-tax loss of Ј401,606 for the 12 months ended 31 December 2002 compared with losses of Ј331,789 for 2001 and Ј1.19 million for 2000.

Fortis Commercial Finance Limited was formed in July 2002 by the integration of FMN Financial with the Fortis Bank Invoice Discounting division of Fortis Bank UK.

According to Murray Chisholm,director, “The directors are confident that the introduction of leading edge technology to develop stronger relationships with both new and existing clients through the Speed Data Services and Upstream Data Collection Services, the retention of highly trained and motivated staff have placed the company in a strong position to take advantage of the opportunities to expand and develop the business in the coming year.”
