Foreign investment to break US$5bn in 2004

Since the beginning of the year up to the end of September, 164 foreign entities announced, or actually carried out investments worth US$4.4bn. Comparison of last year's figures with data for Q3 2004 shows that SME's are increasingly interested in Poland. This category is much better than large enterprises, as smaller companies are less susceptible to crisis and they do not require public aid.

According to Rzeczpospolita's calculations, in the third quarter of 2004 some 69 foreign companies declared investments worth US$1.9bn.
