The Chilean loan guarantee fund for SMEs, Fogape, held its second auction of 2005, awarding 48.2bn pesos (US$81.7m) in loan guarantees to be issued before 30 June, state bank BancoEstado said in a press release.
The loan guarantees were awarded to 12 local banks and two factoring entities, said BancoEstado, which administer Fogape for the government.
Those participating in the auction were: Bice, Banco de Chile, Banco del Desarrollo, Banco de la Nacion Argentina, BancoEstado, Scotiabank, Santander Santiago, Bci, BankBoston, Banco Conosur, HNS Bank, Falabella, Banchile Factoring and Bci Factoring.
