Finns are now as confident in their own economic situation as they were at the peak of the economic boom in February 2000.
Finns have remained relatively confident in their own economy throughout the recent economic slump. Consumers have been much more concerned about the state of the Finnish national economy.
The mood in the Finnish industrial sector is also relatively positive at the moment, industrial corporations expect output to grow clearly over the next few months.
Capacity utilisation rates have also improved, and the Industrial Confidence Indicator, which has been rising gradually since early 2003, has now reached its long-term average level.
