Finn S. Jakobsen of Midt Factoring presents the latest analysis of the Danish market

Market Performance and Supply The factoring industry in Denmark has not developed at the pace which some had hoped, due to the willingness of the banking industry to extend credit. The high profits made on loans by banks during the last five years have increased their willingness to meet customer demands for loans and guarantees. The majority of factoring companies are bank-owned, which also impacts on industry growth.  Midt Factoring is the only Danish factor not owned by a major financial institution and has grown into a major player over the past two to three years. Midt Factoring and Forenede Factors are the two largest factoring companies in the country.
