BCR announced today that Factoring in the UK: Eighth edition is now downloadable on factorscan.com. The publication, which includes detailed figures on market activity, five years’ analysis of financial data and an introduction to the concepts, practices and the laws involved factoring, is recognised as the most authoritative and comprehensive report into the UK factoring industry.

Factoring is still growing in the UK. Figures from the FDA show the size of the industry has trebled in the last ten years. Total funding provided by the factors has increased from Ј1.3billion in 1991 to Ј7.1 billion at year-end 2001.
Also, statistics from the International Factoring Group (IFG) have shown that the UK is only second, behind Italy, in the volume of factoring carried out across Europe.
