Factoring market picks up on back of Taiwan-China relationship


Improving investment and trade relations between Taiwan and mainland China are increasing demand for factoring services by domestic exporters to the mainland, according to new research.

Data provided by Factors Chain International (FCI) has revealed that Taiwan’s factoring business was worth Ђ16bn in 2003. Of this, Ђ4.3bn represented export business, though the portion of that devoted to trade with mainland China was not specified.
