Is factoring in Germany immune to coronavirus?


Germany shows amazing factoring results in the first half of 2020. Factoring activity of medium-sized companies has so far defied the corona crisis, the market is even growing. But how long?

The corona crisis is bouncing off the factoring market: the growth year 2019 seems to be followed by a dynamic year 2020, despite the catastrophic economic environment. According to the figures from the Federal Association of Factoring for SMEs (BFM), the volume of receivables submitted by SMEs increased by 5.3% in the first half of the year compared to the same period in the previous year. In the whole year 2019, the factoring volume in medium-sized companies had grown by 8.7%, of the previous year by as much as 9%.
