Factoring company record report revenues in 2004

D.S.Factoring raised total revenues to record Kc1.4bn last year, up 60 % from 2003, as the company in the year processed nearly 35,000 items for its clients, according to director Pavel Strasak.

"Factoring has been growing strongly in the country because it makes business activities much simpler," he added.

The highest number of clients came from retail, specifically companies selling food, electrical equipment and textiles.

"The average delay in payments of buyers reached just two days last year and the share of overdue claims did not exceed 10 % of the total," Strasak said.

D.S.Factoring is a non-banking company established in February 1993. It offers services in particular to businesses dealing in fast-moving consumer goods. Half of its portfolio is thus made up of retail chains, for example Ahold, Makro, Globus and Carrefour.

The company is part of financial group Dimension.
