Factoring in Argentina - World Factoring Yearbook 2011

Introduction    During 2010, the factoring industry benefited from Argentina’s favorable economic performance. Factoring volume totaled €350 million, an increase of 4.5 per cent compared to 2009. As usual, domestic factoring transactions accounted for almost 95 per cent of the total. However, it is very important to remark on the significant increase showed by international factoring business as it achieved volumes of €20 million – four times the volume registered in the previous year. As mentioned in previous articles, factoring is still an emerging industry in our country but we are happy to affirm that year after year it gains further recognition amongst businesses.
