According to a state media report, President Yang Zilin of the Export-Import Bank of China (Exim Bank) announced a total of 104 billion yuan (U$12.56bn) in loans in 2003.
This is the first time the bank's lending surpassed the CNY100 billion mark, the official Xinhua News Agency reported yesterday.
The report said that the bank recorded a 1.3 percentage point year-on-year decline in its non-performing loan (NPL) ratio to 3.7% at the end of 2003.
