The EU Constitution: Institute of Directors and Confederation of British Industry reaction to White Paper
In response to the release of the Government’s White Paper, A Constitutional Treaty for the EU, the Institute of Directors (IoD) repeated its call for a referendum on British adoption of the Treaty. Meanwhile the CBI welcomed the government's formal response to the draft EU treaty drawn up by the European Convention saying it remains vital that full attention is given to the implications before anything is agreed at the forthcoming Inter-Governmental Conference.
