EBRD releases Ђ40 million to SMEs


The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will release Ђ40 million for Bulgarian commercial banks to extend loans to small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by the end of this year.

The strategy of the EBRD for Bulgaria, business opportunities and macroeconomic conditions in the country topped the agenda of the meeting of a Bulgarian delegation with Jean Lemierre, head of the EBRD.

The delegation, led by Finance Minister Milen Velchev, attended the Annual Meeting of the EBRD in London.The Minister called for an increase of financing in the private sector.
