Deutsche Bank, the largest bank in Germany, is planning to conduct more business with small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Over the last few years, the bank has focused on large corporate customers and neglected smaller companies, which has led to a great deal of criticism. In particular, Deutsche Bank now says that it will provide SMEs from Germany with more support in business in Asia and on other markets abroad.
The bank's resources in Germany are now to be interlinked more closely with those of foreign branches, in order to obtain more business with SMEs abroad and to control associated risks better.
Deutsche Bank says that it wishes to establish contact with German SMEs that are interested in investment or expansion in India.
