CSOB Leasing leading market


CSOB Leasing, a leader on the Czech leasing market last year, signed contracts with a total value of 10.1 billion Czech crowns ( Kc ) from January-September this year, up 5.7 percent year-on-year.

According to data from the Association of Leasing Companies, the entire Czech leasing market grew by 0.5 percent to some Kc 76 billion in the monitored period. Hire-purchases nearly trebled to Kc 981 million. The overall volume of domestic hire purchases reached Kc 2.5 billion, over twice the amount year-on-year, according to the association's data.

CSOB Leasing, active on the Czech market since 1996, is a subsidiary of Ceskoslovenska Obchodni Banka (CSOB), owned by Belgium's KBC Bank, a unit of the KBC Group. Among its main rivals are CAC Leasing and SkoFIN, which had not yet announced their January-September results as of last Friday.

Last year, CSOB Leasing had sales worth Kc 14.3 billion; CAC Leasing, Kc 13.1 billion; and SkoFIN, Kc 12.6 billion.
