Commercial credit managers given boost - business confidence up for three quarters running


Commercial credit managers have been given a boost by the news that business confidence has risen for the third quarter in a row.

New research by accountants KPMG found there has been a marked upswing in business confidence over the last quarter, with nearly two thirds of executives believing the economy is now on an upward curve (compared to 52 per cent last quarter) and seven in ten business executives viewing prospects for the next 12 months as good or very good (up from 54 per cent).

Two thirds of companies said it is possible or likely they will enter into joint ventures in the coming 12 months, and nearly half are considering an acquisition.

Mel Egglenton, head of middle market at KPMG, said: "The good news is that confidence amongst business leaders really is taking hold and prospects are much improved.
