Coface UK poll shows confidence that payment problems will decrease in 2004

Coface UK recently conducted a mini-poll asking respondents whether they believed levels of delayed and/or non-payment will increase or decrease in 2004. Just over 50% believed that the problem would decrease, although none said that improving payment behaviour was the reason for this. Instead, respondents cited more pro-active internal credit management procedures, their credit insurance policy and greater awareness of late payment legislation.

The survey of visitors to the Coface UK stand at the recent Institute of Credit Management Conference and Exhibition showed that two-thirds were confident that 2004 would be a better year for trading compared to 2003. The global credit solutions provider asked all visitors to answer its mini-poll at the event.
