Coface snaps up Australian credit insurance business


Coface, the credit management and insurance group, has bought the credit insurance business of Australian underwriting agency, Dexta.

Dexta Corporation Ltd provides insurance and risk services and underwrote a total premium of A$12.3m in 2003.

The company has underwritten and managed credit insurance on behalf of Coface in Australia since May 2000. During this time, Dexta and Coface has developed a mutual strategy to strengthen their relationship, positioning both parties to benefit from new market opportunities in Australian credit insurance.

Coface Services Australia Ltd will now operate the credit insurance business.
