Coface to separate chairman and chief executive posts

French credit insurance group Coface has decided to separate the roles of chairman and chief executive, in line with practices at its parent, mutual bank Groupe Banque Populaire, and new financial laws.

Coface's current chairman and chief executive, Francois David, will take the post of chairman of the board from 3 January, while general manager Jerome Cazes will become the group's managing director.
