Austrian insurance company Osterreichische Kreditversicherung Coface, number one in the Austrian domestic and export credit insurance business, is preparing to enter the Czech market, head of board of directors Martina Dobringerova, announced.
“We are trying to find the way of entering the Czech market. We want to take part in privatisation of Export Guarantee and Insurance Corporation (EGAP). We will open a branch office at least, as we did in Hungary and Poland recently,” Dobringerova said.
Apart from Austrian Coface, Atradius Credit Insurance from the Netherlands and Euler Hermes Cescob are also interested in buying a share in EGAP. “We definitely want to participate in EGAP’s privatisation”, director of Atradius Marketa Strzinkova confirmed.
