David Thomson has been appointed deputy chief executive of Close Invoice Finance. He will remain Managing Director of Metropolitan Factors, which became part of the Close Group in 2001.
David joined the factoring and invoice discounting industry as training manager at Griffin Factors, where he went on to become business development executive, business development manager, area sales manager and area relationship manager.
Following 14 months with Barclays Commercial Services he became managing director of Metropolitan Factors in Haywards Heath, which under his guidance won the Sussex Business Award and attracted the attention of the acquisitive Close Brothers Group.
He says of his new appointment: “Naturally I am delighted to be given the opportunity to play an important role in helping take Close Invoice Finance further along the path it has already travelled so successfully.”
