CIT Group, the US-based commercial and consumer credit finance firm, announced yesterday that it is to centralise its European operations in Dublin.
The firm said it had recruited 250 staff at its new facility in Blackrock and would recruit a further 50 early in the New Year. The Dublin operation will provide backup services for clients in Europe and around the world.
CIT employs almost 6,000 people worldwide and holds a leading position in the US in factoring, small business loans and asset-based and credit-secured lending, vendor financing, commercial and corporate aircraft financing and construction financing.
