China boosts export credit insurance for agricultural products


According to statistics, insurance premiums on the export of agricultural products increased by more than 70 per cent in the first three quarters of this year and enterprises taking the insurance on exports jumped more than 100 per cent, compared to last year.

Since the beginning of this year, China has taken measures to expand export of agricultural products including a policy to promote export credit insurance for agricultural products, said Yu Guangzhou, vice-minister of commerce at the on-going 96th Guangzhou Commodity Export Fair in Guangzhou, capital city of South China's Guangdong Province.

The ministry has worked with the ministry of finance to raise subsidiary rate for insurance premiums for the export of agricultural products.
